Two word story

 There once was a man named Joe he had a pet dog called Bambam. Bambam robbed the dairy across the road. And he killed the store owner called Lucas. Lucas owned the dog coffin store. Bambam killed Lucas because he was going to die and he didn't want to be in a coffin. The next day Bambam died due to chocking on Lucas's Nintendo switch.

Lion in the forest 

As I was walking through the Forest I thought I was getting followed by something. As I keeped walking I heard something in the bushes. I walked closer to the bush and next minute a lion jumped out in the s chasing me. I start running for my life

the lion leaps at me he misses. I see an old house. I ran inside and the lion walked right past the old house but there was a snake inside the house so I ran right out of the old house. The lion hears me and starts to chase me again i keeped running for my life. After getting chased for 15 minutes the lion hears me and stops chasing but I keeped running for my life and I never went back to that forest again.

My Music Lesson

Today we got to choose what we got to do for the next 4 weeks. The options were art ,drama ,music and dance. I chose to do music because I wanted to learn more about music notes. Today we learnt how to make a beat with 1 instrument. My instrument was the wood sounder. it is also a percussion instrument.

Monday mashup

To day for Monday mashup we went to the garden. my job was to do was watering the plants we had to water heaps I also had to put out some weeds. because there were heaps of them everywhere because we had finished most of the jobs at the garden we went on the playground for about 15 minutes. then we finished up by tidying up the guy like picking up all the rubbish.

Tides and Waves Term 3 & 4 2021

Robbie and I have found a site to do pictures on Voxels to create pictures about tides on our slides. 

I chose to work with Robbie because he is a person that likes to actually work with me .  My & Robbie slide       

My Questions

1. What are tides?
2. How high can tides get?
3. How do tides change from high to low tide?
4. How are waves formed?

I have learnt that:                                                            High and low tide are around the decided by the moon. The highest tides are when the Moon is new or full. Tides are really all about gravity the moon's gravity makes the tides. The moons gravitational pull generates something called the tidal force. wave action could change the beach by eroding or depositing sand.

When Robbie and I find an experiment on tides we are going to try it out.

Me and my buddy Robbie worked really well together but the challenge was we do not understand scientist words? Also I have been away for a bit.

To make it you poor oil in the bottle till half way then you poor the water an thee food coloring in and there you go and when your done tilt the bottle.

Inquiry Tides

 For inquiry I am learning more about tides like how high high tides can get and how low low tides can get.   My buddy Robbie and me are making high and low on the sight voxles.                                                         Robbie and I both have a slide to put our information on it I have 5 fact so far and Robbie has 5 as well.

                               I am going to post the slide with a picture of what we made on voxles.

New Trees in the Garden.

This term In the garden every Monday we have been doing garden. A few people been digging holes. People also have been planting and the others people have been doing work in the garden. I have been getting soil from the ground because Nigel put some there. I have been also planting it's real fun at the Garden.            

Thanks to Edible Trees for Canterbury for giving us the trees to plant.

The Candy Earth

For inquiry we did another example for the Earth.

marshmallow chocolate and an m&m.

The chocolate was crust of the Earth. The marshmallow was the mantle and the m&m as the core.

The shell of the m&m was. The liquid iron covering the center of the Earth.

we squeezed the chocolate make it look like tectonic plate.

What We Are Learning For Maths

 For maths we are leaning measurements like liters kg's millilitres tones and more.                                        On the first week we where measuring water sand and more there was heaps of stuff to do.                           then we would way stuff on the scale we would have to try get 250g by using Marbles the answer was 10.

For inquiry we are learning about space and the earth this is what I did I made the earth with circles and a third of a circle and the scribble to make land.

The inner core is made out of solid iron and the core is made liquid iron.

The mantle is the second part of the earth it is also a really hard rock and no one has reach the mantle yet.

The crust

The crust is like dirt and is 12 to 56 miles down to get to the mantle.

They fit together like a puzzle pieces also on partly molten mantle.

Today inquiry we looked at an egg and how it would represent the earth.                                                       First we had to crack the egg a little bit then we cut the egg and looked at it The shell was the crust and   the egg white was the mantle ad the yolk
in the egg was the core.       

Why i dont like the school lunches.

                          I really like the idea school lunches but there's a reason why I don't.

The reason is I don't like this for lunches because I didn't like vegetables and sometimes there are stale chips like for the nachos. Sometimes where there is tomato in the sandwiches which I don't like the water that comes out of the tomatoes make sandwiches soggy. The only lunch there I do like is the chicken sandwiches. The only lunch there I do like is the chicken sandwiches with carrots.

The bridle path walk

 Yesterday we went for a walk up the bridal path to see what it was like for the Europeans when they had   to climb over the hill but they carried all their belongings but we only had a lunch box and a drink bottle.   it was like an hour and a half walk up the hill it was tiring.when we got to the top of the hill We all   stopped and had a drink and ate some morning tea. after 15 min we started to pick us up and start the       walk down the hill.when we got down the hill we saw urmi waiting for us then we jumped into the bus     and headed back for school.

still it would have been harder for the Europeans because they would be carrying all their belongings with them and they don't have as good shoes as us and there was no Road for them to walk on.

The sunken car

 

As the ship left the docks one of the engines turned off but the driver of the ship did not no that the engine

had turned off. The cruise ship was in the middle of the sea and a car had rolled of the bout and had gone into the water and sunk into the water the captain of the ship had no idea that one of the cars had gone into the water.Then one day same scuba divers had seen the sunken car and went to go investigate the sunken car. The car had moss all over the car the car windows had been smashed open but by what nobody Will know???To be continued.

What I learnt from my trip to ferrymead

 

I learnt:

• ladies before gentlemen.
• Children should be seen not heard.
• How hard it was the use the two sided saw.
• What the people used to pack on the Ships.
• How they made candles/animal fat.
• You had to polish your shoes because they were expensive.
• You had to do chores For the v huts like scrubbing deck and doing the laundry.
• To heat up the iron you need to put it on a stove or a fire.
• We checked out the optical illusions that the kids used to for art.

                                            Today we made some butter and some bread.                                                      The ingredients for the butter was cream and a pinch of table salt then we shook it up in a jam jar for 5 to 10 minute's. Then we made the bread for the butter. The ingredients for the bread was water flour and butter and then we put those ingredients into a silver steel bowl. Then urmi kneaded the dough until it was ready. Finally urmi put the dough on an oven tray. of course we had to wait for the dough to cook for 30 minutes.while the dough was cooking in the oven we went out to break. after break we had the bread and butter for lunch.

Today for Monday my shop I did gardening with Nigel.                                                                                  My Buddy's where Dylan Benji and me. First we had a half an hour game of Dodgeball.                              Then we went to the garden and planted some plants.I planted about 10 plants and then                          helped putting some more soil into the bins.We would have to take one of the plants                                out put some soil into a little plastic black bag put the plant into a the bag fill it up with soil.

Raft Building.

 Today and yesterday we were building a raft to float in the pool.my team was will Shayde Dominik and me.we had to use a paper bag. String and drift Wood. we started with using five pieces of wood for the platform. the me used one piece of wood for the mask then attach the paper bag. you had to attach the pieces of wood together with the string. then you had to attach The Masked by using the string to wrap around it. then you had to attach the paper bag with some tape.and then when you were finished you had to name it. because we thought it looked cool renamed it Emirates team New Zealand.and then when you were finished you had to go over to the pool and see how far went ours went 2 meters.and then the other teams had to try do try float their boats.

 On Mondays in  the rawhiti domain every year you can sign up. My team is Tyson Jordan Connor Taylor Benji and Me yes there is there a half times. our coach is Talei and Courtney and every time after the game someone gets player of the day there are different teams from different schools. There are you groups as well. 2 to 3  4 to 6  7 to 8. If you want to sign up it's $25 each term.

The Cup Challenge

 Today for Monday mashup.We did a cup stacking challenge. We had to stack as much cups as-possible. With ice block sticks and when you were finished we had to put a toy dinosaur on top to see if it was stable.We got up to 1 meter. My team was Tyson Maddox Dlonte Arthur and Me.

Today in maths I learnt all my nine times tables up to 12. I did it all under 30 seconds.

pirate ship writing

One day in the Pacific Ocean there was a big pirate Ship the waves we're reaching up to 30 meter high. when's the wave's stop a week later some divers found the ship on their radar. the divers found the ship and started to dive in. they start searching inside the ship they find a treasure chest but only had a couple tiny reel fish inside I didn't care so they kept looking they reached the other side of the ship and found 5 pirates dead just bones they didn't look at the bones they just kept a swimming along and they found another treasure chest they tried to open it but it needed a key then went back to the pirate's and found the key inside a pirates skull they grab the key and opened the chest and the chest had diamonds money and gold inside they took the chest up to their boat and give the gold home they became billionaire's and the ship was brung the ship back too sure by the help from other boats but no one realised that there was more treasure hidden inside because it was hidden under because the pirate was sitting on top of it. the end.

Tekapo

 this is Tekapo my granddad and Grandma I used to live here and I used to come to their house the Godley hotel is where my granddad used to work the one photo with the swimming pool is in the middle of the Godley Hotel it is 5 meters deep and every time my granddad finish work he's would take  me fishing in Tekapo canal or take me swimming in Tekapo Lake. then we would come home  and play on my grandads phone and play slotomania.

Today we did a treasure my teacher Sharon set the treasure hunt all up. My team was Noah Will and I.Sharon made most of the questions hard. the one we got stuck on was we had to name the 9 egg each had a letter on it it had to be a correct name.Our team worked really well because we kept together as a team. there's one thing that we couldn't work well on and that was sharing our ideas.next time we should share our ideas.
